Have you been coming to FBC for a while but have never made a commitment to be “all in on the team”? Are you wondering what that would even mean and why it matters? NEXT STEPS is a class that is a requirement for membership and helps give you a picture of who we are, what we believe and why we do what we do. It will be held on May 24 from 4:30-7:30. Dinner and childcare are included and you can REGISTER HERE.
Picture a VBS, sports camp and summer camp all rolled into one... this is BALLAPALOOZA. Here kids will experience all kinds of fun activities including a story, craft, game, worship with the band and more each day.
This week-long day camp will be full of fun activities including games music and learning about Jesus for kids ages 4 and up.
If you are in need of financial assistance, please email Miss Andrea BEFORE registering.
SUMMER NIGHTS #1: JUNE 13, 5:30PM-8:00PM
The first Summer Night is all about making a mess! Your kids 2 years old - 6th grade and their friends will get to participate in a series of games and contests that will get them messy! While we will have extra shirts, we encourage you to dress your child in clothes that you don’t care about (and make sure to let their friends know to do the same!). Dinner begins at 5:30PM and the mess begins at 6:30PM.
For all adults, after dinner there will be a workshop about managing the day-to-day mess of our lives towards God’s best! If you’ve ever felt stressed, over-worked or just tired, then this worship will be a great chance for you and others like you to get practical tools in a safe and fun environment.
On Saturday, June 2 from 9am-2pm we will be doing cleanup projects around the church campus. We encourage you to come help out, there are a number of different projects to be done ranging from just throwing away trash to lifting and moving some heavy furniture. Lunch will be provided.
If you are like most of us between working, kids or grandkids, work around the house and trying to have a life you need a break.
RE is all about taking a day to invest in your life with God. On this day our hope is that He will restore, reimagine, renovate and rekindle your love for Him and Your purpose.
We know it's hard to get away for a whole day, but we promise that it will be worth it. With passionate and energetic international speaker Cynthia Crane, the prayer opportunities, and simply the time to be with other women just like you, this is going to be a beautiful day of God pouring into you!

On Sunday, April 29, we will be having church off campus due to the SLO Marathon blocking Johnson Avenue. Service will be held at the San Luis Obispo Guild Hall (formally known as the Grange), located at 2880 Broad Street in SLO. For info on road closures and how to get around them, you can go to www.slomarathon.com.
Good food. Good Conversations. Meet the Staff.
The welcome lunch is an opportunity to meet the staff, get to know other people who are newer like you and hear a little about what FBC is all about. This is a great first step to discovering FBC and how you can join what is happening here. This event is free and includes lunch for you and your kids if you have them, childcare and you even get a family swag bag.
Baptism is a great opportunity for us as followers of Jesus to say that we are “all in”. It was not only given to us as a command, but our Lord Himself was baptized. If you haven’t been baptized and you are interested in finding out more info, email Pastor Jason at Jason@fbcslo.org.
Financial Peace University is a nine-lesson, money-management class taught by America's most trusted financial guru, Dave Ramsey. Dave and his teaching team will walk you through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future, and much more!
While completing the class, the average family pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in the first 90 days! All of your money goes towards the course materials and lessons begin on Wednesday, April 11 from 6:30 pm - 8 pm.
Easter is all about hope.
We believe that hope is so powerful because you can't earn it, steal it, or buy it. This Easter you and your family are invited to come and hear a message of hope and encouragement.
Childcare is provided for kids 0 - 2 and programming for kids 3-6th grade. All other ages are encouraged to attend the service as a family.
What happens when you put Old San Luis BBQ, huge bouncers, games and crafts for kids, an Easter egg hunt, and a mechanical bull all at the same place?
We don't know either... but we're about to find out because that's what's happening.
Treats will be available all 4 hours, and Old San Luis will be out at 5:00 PM. Easter egg hunts by age group will begin at 4 PM for kids ages 1-10.
